No big surprise that the Zealanders have to come up with creative (read: "stupid") ways of keeping all of the flood of tourists looking for Hobbiton entertained so they don't just go traipsing thorugh the pristine NZ countryside.

I'm sure that rolling people down hills in an inflatable ball sounds like a great idea to Saruman, as well.

They showed these things a season or two ago on the Amazing Race. It's at the top of my list for my next trip to NZ (does Southwest fly there?).
